Sharon Taylor
Padgett has been painting and
selling her oil and acrylic
paintings for nearly 30 years.
Originally from Allendale, SC,
she grew up throughout Florida,
and was influenced by her tropical
surroundings.
Her subjects
on canvas range from portraits,
plein air landscape painting
and life at the beach, which
is her passion. She studied
art at Jacksonville University
in Jacksonville, Fl., with Zita
Mellon, known as a colorist
from Allendale, SC., and with
Livio Valentini, a modern artist,
at the University of South Carolina
in Aiken.
A former
newspaper reporter, Sharon is
an accomplished writer, illustrator
and painter. She has won numerous
awards from the SC Press Association
for her articles and photography
and from juried art shows for
her paintings. She is past-president
of the Aiken Artist Guild, in
galleries in Georgia and South Carolina
,
and teaches step-by-step painting
workshops to adults and children.
